Tutorial Talks

X.C. Zhang
X.C. Zhang The University of Rochester
Topic: THz liquid photonics
This tutorial will cover recent progress in THz liquid photonics—an extension of our previous research on THz air photonics. Investigating THz generation from liquids may complete the final piece of the matter-phase puzzle in THz photonics.
Andrea Markelz
Andrea Markelz The University at Buffalo
Topic: To be Announced
Abstract details for Professor Markelz's tutorial will be posted here shortly.
Younes Ra'di
Younes Ra'di Syracuse University
Topic: Applications of Metamaterials
Abstract details for Professor Ra'di's tutorial will be posted here shortly.
Jens Neu
Jens Neu University of North Texas
Topic: Optical Pump THz Probe Spectroscopy
Optical Pump THz Probe (OPTP) provides a femtosecond view on the life of electrons, holes, and more exotic quasiparticles. This tutorial introduces the spectroscopic technique and provides insight into the photoelectron/hole life in organic frameworks and other emerging materials.
